Passionate when it comes to family businesses and the challenges of rationalizing the subjectivity of these companies and the personal relationships of their partners.
Professor at the Family Business Platform of the Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa - INSPER, where she is Head Professor of executive courses related to family businesses and a member of the Family Business Study Group of the Fundação Getúlio Vargas de São Paulo - FGV/SP.
Com mais de 30 anos de experiência profissional, trabalhou como advogada sênior em renomado escritório de advocacia (Tozzini, Freire Advogados), atuou como superintendente jurídica de grandes bancos (Santander Banespa S/A e Unibanco S/A) e foi head do Wealth Planning do HSBC Private Banking.
Graduated from USP Law School, with a master's degree in International Law from Cornell Law School and a specialist in European Community Law from Université Paris I Pantheon, she is trained in Mediation by the Institute for the Certification and Training of Lusophone Mediators - ICFML.
His authorial contribution can be found in the books Corporate Governance in Focus (Saint Paul publishing house), Corporate Governance for Small and Medium-Sized Companies (LTr/LexNet publishing house) and Real Estate Law as a Vector for the Resumption of Growth (LTr/LexNet publishing house).
Thais Marzo
LAWYER
Thais Marzo is a lawyer graduated from PUC-SP, with a specialization in Corporate and Insolvency Law from the UC - Portugal. Her practice focuses on Corporate Law and Wealth Planning, including estate and succession planning, corporate reorganizations, corporate and family governance, and M&A transactions.
She advises business families, founders, and successors in the development of governance models, family protocols, and shareholders’ agreements, aimed at preserving wealth and ensuring business continuity across generations.
With complementary training and experience in Accounting, she combines legal expertise with a strategic and financial perspective, delivering integrated solutions in governance, planning, and corporate restructuring.
